Veronika comes limping into her apartment after having her toe stepped on by a man in the street. She then kicks a package on the floor inflicting extreme pain on her battered toe. She limps to the bathroom and comes back with a pail of hot water and soaks her toe. Just when is is getting better and puts her shoe back on, she angrily kicks the package on the floor and ends up on the bed in severe pain again!
