2 separate scenarios. In the first scene, Veronika is being cared for by a home health nurse for a recent heart condition. She starts having cardiac problems and the nurse calls the doctor in from home to examine the patient. The doctor arrives just as Veronika goes into cardiac arrest. Using the portable defibrillator, the doctor and nurse work frantically on the patient to resuscitate her. Veronika recovers for a short period of time only to go into cardiac arrest again. The medical team use the defibrillator again - as the paramedics arrive. The paramedic does a thorough examination and declares the patient DOA. The nurse and EMT do another exam just to be certain. In the second scenario -- during lifeguard training, something major goes wrong! Alyssa is supposed to be showing 2 new lifeguards how the defibrillator works when she "accidentally" shocks Alex. When Veronika comes over to see what she can do to help, she is attacked by Alyssa with the paddles and zapped as well. Renee, the lead lifeguard comes in to check the progress of the class only to find it in total disarray. She gets down and stars CPR and mouth-to-mouth on Veronika in the hopes of bringing her around only to be attacked by Alyssa with the paddles. All 3 girls are left in a pile on the floor after being zapped. Alyssa starts to pick up the defibrillator to leave when she accidentally zaps herself!
