Renee is the captain of the college cheerleading squad and her team is on the road to a possible national title. Unfortunately, she suffered her first real injury and has been resting her foot. She's aquired a few braces to wear on her ankle to help the healing. She peels her sock off to reveal the braces supporting her sore ankle. She grabs some ice and props her ailing ankle. Renee desperately wants to attend the homecoming dance and wear her killer new heels but she's worried about the stability of her ankle. She's finally able to get the heels on but on the way out of the bedroom, she rolls her ankle. Crying out in pain and hopping on her good foot, she makes her way to the couch where she removes her shoe. In the final scene, we see Renee crutching into the house with her ankle wrapped in a bandage and a special brace. Looks like Renee will miss the championships after all.
