Veronika
comes home from the supermarket where a careless shopper ran into her ankle with
a shopping cart. Her ankle is sore but not too painful and she has a big date
tonight so she ices up her ankle and massages it before getting all dolled up
for her date. As she rounds a corner, her heel becomes tangled in a chair and
she severely twists the the same ankle that was dinged at the supermarket. Now,
however, the damage is more severe. After icing the ankle again, she leaves for
the hospital emergency room. Next we see Veronika crutching in the door with her
ankle wrapped. She makes herself comfortable on the sofa, elevates her foot and
eventually goes to sleep.
